The Clorox Company issued a recall on certain Pine-Sol products, this includes Pine-Sol Scented Multi-Surface Cleaners, CloroxPro Pine-Sol All Purpose Cleaners, and Clorox Professional Pine-Sol Lemon Fresh Cleaners due to the risk of exposure to bacteria. Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a bacteria that is commonly found in soil and water that may be present in the recalled products. Products affected are with date codes beginning with the prefix “A4” and the first five digits numbered less than 22249. The products are sold in bottles of 28, 48, 60, 100, 144, and 175 fluid ounces.
Testing has so far revealed the presence of the bacteria in a few recalled products, including those made between January 2021 and September 2022. You can read the full details here!

Dang! I just recently bought a big bottle of the lemon pinesol and it’s one of the ones recalled :/
If you do have one I heard on a podcast to take a picture of your product and if you don’t have a receipt, they’ll reimburse you with the market value. They said to throw it away in a kitchen garbage bag.
I think it is weird too. I am also sensitive to fragrances. I prefer to clean with vinegar.
That’s what I use the most. It actually has anti bacterial properties.
Thanks for the warning! I think it’s weird that cleaning products can have bacteria in them. That said, I am sensitive to fragrances, so I steer clear of this kind of product.
That’s the first thing that came to my mind was a cleaning product has bacteria in it that’s so weird I just threw my Pine-Sol bottle out so I don’t know if I had a bad one
