McDonald’s has launched their first ever automated location at 8540 West Freeway in White Settlement near Forth Worth, Texas. This is designed for customers who prefers to eat in the comfort of their own cars or dine in at home. It features a drive-through order-ahead lane for pre-orders and pickup of burgers and beverages at a conveyor belt. This lane enables the restaurant team to start preparing customers’ orders when they are near the restaurant. Also, it minimizes contacts between team members and customers.
Employees are still available to assist and answer customers’ queries. Parking is accessible for curbside pick-up, and order kiosks within the establishment accept cash or credit. Food delivery services also have a designated space to simplify interactions.
