CommentsI accidentally discovered this amazing hack one day when I spilled some of this liquid into my sons baby bottle in the sink. I could not get the smell of milk out of his plastic bottle. if I managed to get the icky “old milk smell” out then the bottle would have a lingering dish soap odor. The second this stuff sloshed into his bottle the smells instantly vanished! haha. I thought to myself, “Eureka! what else will this de-stink?” I used it to get the permanent ammonia smell out of my cat’s plastic litter boxes. I got that strange lingering diaper odor out of the diaper genie plastic bin too! plastic is weird right?
Then… one day I overloaded myself with laundry, biting off more than I could realistically chew with a 1 year old, a teen daughter & a serious case of the yawns. I laid down to breast feed my baby boy for his nap and we fell asleep for SIX HOURS in the SUMMER.
Our laundry had that DEEP funk. You know the one I’m talking about.
Yes, Yes I understand…Vinegar works wonders to get that moldy smell out of forgotten washer loads but spraying vinegar into the air was extreme with the bairn attached to my hip.
Maybe my brain was functioning at full capacity because, “lightbulb 💡!”
I sprayed the stinky clothes, piece by piece, with this fruit and veggie wash from Sprouts Market and sprinkled a little baking soda in the drum for reassurance.
Simply put, this stuff works.
It works well. and it is CHEAP compared to expensive, harsh chemical products.
Next time you’re at Sprouts or Whole Foods consider picking up a bottle.
you won’t regret it.
If it doesn’t give you that fresh chemical burn in your lungs clean feel that some people need (totally understandable) then at least you’ll have cleaner fruits 😅
When I asked Uncle Google about this product as a special hack there was seriously NO info about it! unbelievable…
I may have actually stumbled upon a useful life hack that doesn’t drain the purse and hasn’t gone viral and been bought off the shelves. So rare these days it seems.
