Big changes are happening in the world of coupons and cash back. It’s time to say goodbye to Coupons.com and say hello to Shopmium! Coupons.com has always been a go-to destination for shoppers seeking deals, discounts, and digital coupons. But now they are shutting down entirely as it has been sold to Global Savings Group and is now being replaced with Shopmium.
The new owner also owns the best-known Germany’s #1 cash-back platform Shoop. We still don’t know exactly the plans of the company for the new-look of Coupons.com but they will still continue offering printable coupons and digital offers. Shoppers still can continue to earn cash back and points for their purchases. The transition has already begun and will be completed by the end of 2023.
Shopmium is Back
Shopmium is a European-based cash-back app that has been discontinued in the U.S. five years ago but it was relaunched to replace Coupons.com. Shopmium works similarly to the Coupons.com app where you have to activate an offer, purchase the product, scan a receipt and a product bar code, and your cashback will be deposited into a linked PayPal account as you earn it, with no earnings threshold necessary before you can cash out.
Coupons.com App To Be Discontinued
Coupons.com mobile app is expected to be discontinued in the coming months because the brand is now owned by another company and with the relaunched of Shopmium.
The company announcement comes at a crucial time since consumers continue to battle inflation, higher prices threaten brand loyalty and force shoppers to rethink the products they buy. Many consumers are now seeking more control over how they save and shop. Now consumers will continue to have a choice – printable coupons, or cash back, as it appears the two will continue to coexist for some time to come.
