David’s Bridal has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last April 17th and would lay off over 9,000 employees nationwide. Their CEO stated that the post-COVID environment and the uncertain economic conditions continue to present challenges to their business resulting for them to look for a buyer who can continue to operate their business moving forward. This is actually the second time that David’s Bridal has filed for bankruptcy in the last five years.
Despite this situation, David’s Bridal has no plans of closing their existing stores and would still be fully operational. Customers can still continue shopping both online and in-store. Also, they are still honoring gift cards, accepting returns and exchanges, store credits, alterations, and deliveries as usual.
Meanwhile, you can look forward to their upcoming liquidation-level sale. There has been no announcement yet on their first “sale-a-bration” but based from their last year’s celebration, you can score up to 50 to 60% off wedding attire from late June to early July.
