• Dollar Tree Raised Prices to $1.25!

After 35 years of holding the price of $1, Dollar Tree has raised the price of the majority of its products to $1.25!

Dollar Tree said that the slightly higher prices will give the them more flexibility to reintroduce many “customer favorites” that were previously discontinued because of the $1 price point and for them to introduce new products to its shelves.

The company said the higher price point is a permanent move, and not the result of “short-term or transitory market conditions”. It was also announced that the $1.25 price point will be rolled out to more than 2,00 Dollar Tree stores.

The extra quarter in their prices hasn’t changed my thought about ever stopping to go there. True you might get things cheaper at a Walmart, but going there isn’t worth my time and aggravation. Most of the items are worth the price.

I agree with you 100%!!! And really, people are really getting upset about them raising their prices a quarter after all of this time? I would venture to say that 90% of their products will still be a fantastic deal at $1.25. And if I had to choose between going to Walmart and going somewhere else that cost $.25 more per item, it is worth it for my sanity! Walmart is a zoo that you couldn’t pay me to go to. Dollar tree Has lots of cleaning products, Tupperware, office supplies, greeting cards, and holiday decorations that are well worth the extra $.25, hands-down! What we should be saying is thank you for not raising your prices over all of these years, and we understand why you’re doing it and will continue to be loyal customers! 😉

I agree! They did say the prices have not changed in 30+ years. It was nice when everything was $1, but these last couple year’s a lot has changed. 😭

they did ours in Cali in December. it’s for the same quality of product. Ours in a 20 mile Radius are always a mess. I’m over it now with the price increase.

Lol this was my comment about the dollar tree… 😂 also 5 below isn’t $5 and below anymore they have stuff in there over $10 now!…

that is because there is also $5 Below and Beyond. They are mostly online but every now and again I see those higher priced products in the store. I often wonder if it is a tester to see how it will do and if people respond positively and purchase.

They announced it now but in my store it was 1.25 two months ago😔

Honestly I didn’t think it would bother me but half of the stuff is not even worth $1.25 when it’s sold for 99c at walmart.

I’m going to reserve judgement until I see what kind of new stock gets introduced. If they’re just going to charge me 25 cents more than what I could’ve gotten it for yesterday, then Nope, maybe a little more because everythings gone up, but a whole quarter? So yeah I’d like to see a higher quality of products. p.s. What about the Name??
