UPDATE: This Giveaway is now over! Winner announcement has been posted on my homepage. See more Giveaways being dropped on my blog here.
My son Ryan is kind of a picky eater (he takes after my husband, Mr FSF ). While my daughter Sophie isn’t a picky eater, she would start to mimic her brother’s behaviors (and verbal complaints), and before you know it, meal times can turn into a battle of wills. Me vs them. And it usually ends in tears.
Then last year I discovered these plates made by Fred & Friends called “Dinner Winner“. They are designed to encourage kids to finish their food. If you follow me on SnapChat, you may have seen me use these plates when preparing meals for my kids.
I LOVE these trays! They are so fun and colorful. Each tray is set up like a little board game, where you follow a “map” of food to a ” hidden treasure”. When you finish the trail of food, the last placement is a covered spot for a hidden treat.  This is your “bait”. #Genius!
The first day I brought these plates out, they were an instant hit! And they really did motivate both my kiddos to finish their food, including things they didn’t like. I’ve since gotten these trays in pretty much every pattern . They really do make mealtime more fun, and can motivate and encourage picky eaters to finish their meals (and even try new things). I typically put a little piece of chocolate in the treat spot and that does the trick.
Anyway, it’s been a lot of fun preparing their meals and watching them use these trays. If you have a fussy eater, or you just want to add some fun into meal time, I recommend checking these plates out. They come in 5 different patterns.

My daughter was such a good eater up until she turned 2. It is a battle everyday to get her to finish her meal. I usually have to sit for a minimum of 30 minutes or so and cheer as she eats. This usually means mommy doesn’t eat until she is done. I work with kids all day. So, somedays all I want to do is sit and have a complete meal without interruption. This would be a perfect way to get her to eat on her own without mommy as a cheerleader right next to her. Just maybe, my hubby and I can sit and actually enjoy a meal.
Wow!! What an awesome idea!!! I need this for my picky eater!! This will definitely encourage them to eat their veggies!! They usually eat everything except the vegetables and use the “I’m full” excuse so they don’t have to eat them. I need this!! I’m gonna have to find me one!! Thank you so much for sharing this!!
I would like these plates for my picky 2 year old daughter.
I would love to win this for my little sister she is 4 years old. She just started pre-k and this would be a great way to make her way her food once she comes back from pre-k. This will keep her from getting distracted while eating and concentrating on getting the treat at the end. She loves sweets.

I recently transitioned to vegetarian along with my kids and I always like to make meals fun so they donât get bored with veggies and substitutes. I find that buying products from gardein that replace meat really helps and they have things like âchicken nuggetsâ and âburgersâ so now my kids love the idea! I feel good that theyâre eating healthier.
I would like to win this for my 7 year old nephew who is such a picky eater and he loves playing games so this would be a great idea to help him eat. Commenting from my dinner table in corona ca.
I would love this for my son neal. Heâs 3 years old. And is such a picky eater. The only way he will eat his food is if I feed him (it takes at least an hour). If I leave him to eat he will never finish and usually wonât even take a bite. Itâs so frustrating. Iâve tried everything. Heâs been like this since he was one years old. Iâve gotten Mickey plates, spider man ect. Itâs exhausting. His favorite food is probably chicken nuggets and even that he gives me a hard time lol Cleveland Ohio! Been following your forever your amazing
My eldest is quite particular with his choices. He doesnât eat any of the typical kid friendly foods like nuggets, hot dogs, fries or quesadillas. And while those not being the healthiest options I donât hate his disapproval but he also doesnât eat other easily available foods. Weâre working on trying things, Iâll take the help of Dinner Winner plates and see if it helps incentivize him! Winston-Salem, NC
These look like so much fun for my kiddos. My 5 year old kaylie is just like your daughter, she eats and tries everything but if she sees her brother not wanting to eat or complaining, we got a problem. My 9 year old son has autism and sensory integration disorder so he is a very picky eater. It helps to tell him “let’s see if you can eat 10 spoon fulls, and once 10 is over, I tell him no way we must have skipped some numbers, and end up eating 10 more…next think you know plate is empty!:) I’m writing to you from Los Angeles california.
OMG!!! why has no one thought of this before??!! I would give this to my grandson who just turned 7 a couple of days ago. He still goes through phases of not wanting to eat. However if we make a game out of it, I am sure that would change his eating habits!!
Thank you so much for sharing this idea!!!
