• Favorite Things Friday: Dinner Winner Kids Dinner Trays (Making Meal Time Fun)

UPDATE: This Giveaway is now over! Winner announcement has been posted on my homepage. See more Giveaways being dropped on my blog here.

My son Ryan is kind of a picky eater (he takes after my husband, Mr FSF ). While my daughter Sophie isn’t a picky eater, she would start to mimic her brother’s behaviors (and verbal complaints), and before you know it, meal times can turn into a battle of wills. Me vs them. And it usually ends in tears.

Then last year I discovered these plates made by Fred & Friends called “Dinner Winner“. They are designed to encourage kids to finish their food. If you follow me on SnapChat, you may have seen me use these plates when preparing meals for my kids.

I LOVE these trays! They are so fun and colorful. Each tray is set up like a little board game, where you follow a “map” of food to a ” hidden treasure”.  When you finish the trail of food, the last placement is a covered spot for a hidden treat.   This is your “bait”. #Genius!

The first day I brought these plates out, they were an instant hit! And they really did motivate both my kiddos to finish their food, including things they didn’t like. I’ve since gotten these trays in pretty much every pattern . They really do make mealtime more fun, and can motivate and encourage picky eaters to finish their meals (and even try new things). I typically put a little piece of chocolate in the treat spot and that does the trick.

Anyway, it’s been a lot of fun preparing their meals and watching them use these trays. If you have a fussy eater, or you just want to add some fun into meal time, I recommend checking these plates out. They come in 5 different patterns.

I am in need of these trays for both of my kids as they are both picky eaters. I find myself cooking the same thing every single day because they will not try anything new. I really feel that this will help us out a lot. They are awesome.

Would love to win this plate for my 5 year old! He has a tendency to hardly ever finish his food during mealtime. Not unless we’re all sitting at the table (like I wish the whole family would during every meal ☹️) will he sit and eat.

Hi there!!! These trays are wonderful. I have a 4 year old girl who eats just about everything as long ss I serve in small portions on cute trays/plates, she has a speech delay so we try to make all meals FUN so she can use her words. My 7 year boy is now becoming a picky eater… he lives off of string cheese ,nuggets, watermelon, cantaloupe and pickles… so these trays would bring some excitement to both on trying and saying new words and things..

      Thank you!!

Hi, I’m gonna give this tray to my little girl. She is 5 and she is very picky. Her favorite food is Mac and cheese. She doesn’t like veggie at all, but fruits yes. I’m always having headaches little to prepare her food. Mac and cheese she can refill but others just little or doesn’t like it. I hope this tray will bring her more appetite. Thanks, Tina for the giveaway!! 🙂 have a good time:)

I had a 5 year old with autism and ADHD. Getting him to sit down to eat can be very difficult and keeping him there for longer than 5 mins can be even harder. I think that this Try would be very beneficial, especially with the track design, the different assortment of food and getting to the end of the finish line, may be just enough for him to enjoy sitting for dinner. Hi there …so I have a 9y.o picky eater a 7yo autism and 8 mo old with a cleft palate umongs other things. I am in Pasco WA. And my older is my biggest struggle trying to balance his meals with carbs and protein. I make him eat with a exhausting struggle but every seating it’s the same thing. My 7y.o eats better than the oldest and he appreciates making food pretty and fun I try to keep it creative and fun. I like how these trays are made with a step by step to get to the prize I really like that. It’s what I do already but with a tray.

Hello! Well first off I’m writing to surprise a former student of mine turned family. Last year I taught the little genius in 1st grade and it was through our difficult school year together that she was diagnosed with ADHD and additional obsessive behaviors. As I’ve continued to travel the journey with she and her mom, I’ve noticed that she doesn’t eat much. From time to time the ONLY thing her mom can get her to eat are Ramen noodles. The lack of appetite has been due to her medication which has helped her tremendously. (SN: mid year things turned around GREATLY!! ) I have noticed her weight loss and often times worry about that sodium intake.

I want to win this for my daughter. She is almost two years old and she loves chocolate. I am trying to encourage her to eat more and frustrations run high as a single parent. This method would really help us.

Hello from Fredericksburg VA. My 4 yr old son loves his Filipino food =) Of course he also loves his mac ‘n cheese on his picky days. LOL! There are times when I bribe him with a treat just to finish his food. hehe

I would use this plate for both my children I have a 1 year old who wants you to play games while feeding him and a 9 year old who is very picky about her food touching and what she eats I don’t have problems with her eating her vegetables but I do have problems with her eating her proteins and other meats. I did notice that when I allow them to help me make dinner or any meals they are more likely to eat what we have made.
