UPDATE: This Giveaway is now over! Winner announcement has been posted on my homepage. See more Giveaways being dropped on my blog here.
My son Ryan is kind of a picky eater (he takes after my husband, Mr FSF ). While my daughter Sophie isn’t a picky eater, she would start to mimic her brother’s behaviors (and verbal complaints), and before you know it, meal times can turn into a battle of wills. Me vs them. And it usually ends in tears.
Then last year I discovered these plates made by Fred & Friends called “Dinner Winner“. They are designed to encourage kids to finish their food. If you follow me on SnapChat, you may have seen me use these plates when preparing meals for my kids.
I LOVE these trays! They are so fun and colorful. Each tray is set up like a little board game, where you follow a “map” of food to a ” hidden treasure”. When you finish the trail of food, the last placement is a covered spot for a hidden treat. This is your “bait”. #Genius!
The first day I brought these plates out, they were an instant hit! And they really did motivate both my kiddos to finish their food, including things they didn’t like. I’ve since gotten these trays in pretty much every pattern . They really do make mealtime more fun, and can motivate and encourage picky eaters to finish their meals (and even try new things). I typically put a little piece of chocolate in the treat spot and that does the trick.
Anyway, it’s been a lot of fun preparing their meals and watching them use these trays. If you have a fussy eater, or you just want to add some fun into meal time, I recommend checking these plates out. They come in 5 different patterns.

Hi! I would love to win this plate for my picky 3.5 year old. I swear he survives on air and sprinkle cheese. ♀️ I think this plate would help me introduce new foods to him in a fun way with a treat at the end being the goal! I wish I had some brilliant tips, but I was just sitting with him at lunch trying to think up a new clever idea to get him to expand his food list. Thank you so much for this post, I will be keeping an eye out for these plates! (And crossing my fingers for all of us battling the picky eaters of the family!)
I would love to win for my son he loves most fruits. I know my son would love this tray. I’m from Texarkana Texas.
I would love this for my nephew and niece. When I babysit them, it’s a constant struggle to get them to finish their food. Sometimes they’re at the dinner table for hours still picking away at it. This would definitely help them
I would love this for my 3 year old daughter, Julianna. She is a picky eater and it is hard to get her to eat anything, especially without bribing her with a treat. I try to sneak veggies into food that she actually likes but sometimes even that doesn’t work. We live in La Mirada, Ca.
my son Ayden and i are from Washington DC. I would love to win this for my new pre-schooler, hes been so excited to try new things especially now going to school, this plates will help me and him have fun during dinner time. Ayden is such a picky-eater its frustrates me most of the time to get him to eat anything healthy, i play it safe with broccoli but would like to expands that option.
thanks!
I would love this for both my kids but mostly for my daughters. She is such a picky eater. I try to make her finish whatever we are eating but sometimes she is so stubborn she will just go to bed not totally full. My husband and I worry because we do not want her to starve herself because she doesn’t want to eat what is made. I think this might work if she thinks of eating as a fun game. It would definitely be a happy ending for me if she finally finished a decent meal.
I’d love this for my picky eater! She has multiply food allergies so getting her to eat the food she CAN have is always a struggle. She loves fruit & chicken nuggets but getting her to eat veggies or any other type of protein is a struggle. We live in naples fl
I’d love this for my picky eater!
Hiiiii
My 2yr old daughter and I are from San Bernardino, California and we would really love this tray. Not just for her but also for me lol. I just know that this would make it so much easier for me and much more enjoyable for her! My daughter is also a picky eater and to get her to eat I have to bribe her with ice cream, candy, sometimes even a toy. So far this method sometimes works for me, but with this tray I know she’ll look forward to get the prize at the end.
Hi Tina ,
I would love the plate for my 4 yr old. I have 5 kids (3 of them 4 and under) but she is the picky one. She literally likes nothing but pasta. I must say though that Abby is just the way I used to be as a little girl . I have been sneaking spinach in her yogurt smoothies, it really is the only way she’ll have at least a small portion of veggies!! We read your blog from Moreno Valley, California.
