If you have received a text from Journeys (Genesco, Inc) after you told them to stop, then you might be eligible to get a payment from a Class action Settlement. The lawsuit claims that Journeys violated a law called the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA2) by sending texts to people who opted out. The people included in this action are all those within the United States who have received one or more texts from Journeys between December 21, 2017, and May 9th, 2023 after opting out. It will except all my information EXCEPT my phone number. I have a screen shot of a yet another unwanted text message from yesterday as proof. Do you know if anyone else can be contacted to submit this?

Hey there! I am not 100% sure why either but if it helps, when we shared this on an ig post, some readers mentioned that they have a database of numbers who got affected and only those numbers in their system will be accepted. But you can always contact their Contact Settlement Administrator here if you have any questions. Hope that helps!

Hi Erika! They have a database of numbers who got affected. It won’t accept a phone number that isn’t on their file.
