My favorite cookout food is my moms potato salad, and my brotherâs baby back ribs.
My favorite food at a cookout would be BBQ ribs, hands down.
Good old southern Deviled eggs!
Cut 8 peeled hard boiled eggs in half lengthwise and place them on a serving platter. Remove yolks with a spoon and place them in a medium mixing bowl.
Mash yolks to a fine crumb with a fork. Add 1/4 cup mayo, 2 tsp pickle juice, 1/2 tsp yellow mustard, 1/4 tsp salt, 1/8 tsp black pepper and 1/8 tsp garlic powder and mix together until creamy.
Add more seasonings to taste if needed.
Spoon a generous teaspoon of the egg mixture into each egg half. Garnish the top with a sprinkle of paprika and big pinch of fried bacon bits. I usually chop & fry up about 4 slices. Chill in refrigerator for at least 2 hours & serve.
TIP: I use a pastry bag to fill the mixture into the egg halves because it looks nicer, but you can use a regular teaspoon or a small cookie or ice cream scooper too.
So many favorites for a cookout but my new favorite is Amish pasta salad. Had it at a funeral and canât get enough of it.

My family and I donât eat meat but we frequently have barbecues in the back yard đ We usually do skewers (mushroom, bell pepper, zucchini), grilled corn, and burgers! And of course veg marshmallows after â¨
Bratwurst are amazing at cookouts
