do you have to pay tax on freebies
Hi there! I’m not exactly sure. It might depend on the State. Maybe you can call your local store and check before heading out.
It depend on the State & also the products. For me in CA, I paid $0.28 for the Air Wick, and no tax on hand sanitizer / wipes, 5 cents for the Coca-Cola coffee ( CRV only). My guess is NO tax on food or health products!
I have paid the cash redemption value/crv on drinks like water or the coke with coffee, like 5 cents, so just prepared to pay that…
I’m in California I don’t PAY tax on food, feminine care and didn’t have to pay tax on the hand sanitizer… … depends on your state, so just have some change a dollar ready to pay taxes… 🙂
