🌟Early Birthday 🎉 Present 🎁 for Tomorrow (which is so bittersweet, very unexpectedly I lost my mom and my son lost his YiaYia (grandma in Greek).
She was our everything even my husband’s, the community, she was so beloved and did everything and anything she could for anyone and that’s where I got it from and to always hear what people are saying and help or pick up items for people they remind you of to gift and make sure they know how appreciate they are in your life♥️.
This year our doggie we were blessed to rescue passed after 14+amazing years (living an active life until the day she passed, another unexpectedly suddenly event) that was May 3rd then August 3rd our other everything my mom only in her 50s passed unexpectedly sudden (felt weak, went to the hospital, had low sodium and got E. coli infection in her blood at the hospital and also got has sepsis at the hospital those were what was listed as her cause of death🥺) Then 9/3 a lady ran a stop sign into oncoming traffic hitting our van and doesn’t have insurance and we don’t have the $ to replace our 2 car seats and deductible (our insurance will reimburse us for). The accident put me in a wheelchair and I am doing EVERYTHING to not be in this forever. My Mom passes a week before my son started kindergarten, his 1st time not being with me or her and I. We had so many plans! She had so many plans!
I was not able to even have a service or pay for an obituary, without my consent the next day my brother had her cremated online, I contacted the place and they wanted to charge $1000 (the same price my brother paid to cremate her(which is against our religion 😔) to have our priest go in 15 min at most to say a prayer over her “if her body was still with us.” Our priest and cousin who is a priest said they would call bc they would never charge, he said my priest would charge me at least that. He would not allow me to make other arrangements or have a service with her body, he (the owner) stated once the papers are signed the body is his (can we say how creepy)! Also, I am the older sibling so my brother did not have the right to make the decision solely, yet the owner took his word he was assigned to take care of all her “affairs” Not the case! My little brother’s response I paid for it, you have no say and other not nice words. She asked me once randomly if I ever need a Go Fund Me would you make me one? I said why? And then said without a doubt never worry about money Momma. My brother also had her ashes divided in 4 parts which I said why would you separate her can’t we keep her as one and with Daddy? He said no Dad gets one, I get one, You get one and Your son gets one!?!?! I apologize I have never dealt with cremation and I am all alone on this. I don’t know how to handle it, I honestly don’t know if it is my mom (the way that man was). My brother is telling me to pick our 2 urns and 2 necklaces bc that is what he and my Dad decided. I can’t and don’t know if I want that.
I know what I do want, I want to have a service or celebration of my Momma’s life and so does my son, only 5, and so does both sides of my mother and fathers family, I want/need my family, her friends (people who are like family) with us. No one is local anymore 😔. I want to write an obituary for her and invite anyone who wishes to attend and give my mom what she definitely deserves and what we all need to heal and have closure. I also want prayer cards and to create a beautiful slide show (she was huge on photos!) and play all her music she loved. She was an amazing woman admired, beloved and missed by so many, and I don’t know how to do that without having the funds. We can not have it in our church bc she was cremated our priest and my cousin, a priest, tried to find any exceptions and contacted everyone they could.
If anyone has any suggestions or ways to help please please contact me or reply all is appreciated ♥️ Tomorrow I will be 37 and it will be the 1st year without her here on early with us and she always made it so special for me and I always bought her flowers for giving life to me and a cute little sentiment thanking her ♥️🎁🥺.
