I teach 8th grade. I love when former students come back to visit throughout high school and beyond. It feels good to know that I’ve made an impact!
Hello! I am a Special education teacher that works at a developmental preschool, which means I have the opportunity to work with children ages 3-5 to provide an early learning environment with the general education curriculum. This is my first year teaching and I am happy to be able to help mold my students into extraordinary humans beings. As a mother of two, a teen and a tween, it has shown me how much I love not only being a mom, but being an educator who can impact the lives of a new generation! đź’•
I’m a special education teacher and teach students with severe disabilities!!! Although I don’t call it disabilities, I call it special abilities!! The reason why I call it that is because each of these students and children can teach us something about us, about them, and about the world. They love and need love just as anyone else. They teach the world to have more patience, more compassion, and more appreciation about every blessing, every smile. My students daily teach me to smile, to laugh, and to see blessings and growth in every small but big little steps that they learn and we learn everyday.
This is my 11th year teaching, 3rd year teaching high school. I teach multiple subjects but I have to say my favorite is my yearbook class. I love that I have the opportunity to meet and interact with most of our students. The best part is seeing my students grow as journalists. Guiding them to see all students for who they really are as they create their yearbook. The best memories are when they see that yearbook for the first time and they realize how hard they’ve worked all year and now they get to share that with the rest of the school. It’s an amazing experience.
Paid in hugs and stickers. Lol. PreK all the way. ❤️❤️❤️
Teaching is a reminder of how much of an impact we have in our classrooms. We have children in our rooms who look security and comfort of a welcoming classroom may be exactly what they need at that moment. So, even if we’re not at our absolute best, there’s a good chance that we still made a difference in their day. We’re still that loving, caring teacher in their eyes and hearts. Spending my day with them and know that we make a difference is worth to me .
I teach Special Ed grades 1-3 and I loved taking my students to their first field trip. We went to the zoo and for many it was their first time. Their faces seeing all the animals was priceless. I love being a safe haven for many students ready with encouragement and lots of hugs. Everyday is a new experience and some days are more challenging but I love my students and would not change my job for anything!
This is so sweet! I love teaching because the impact I have students whether big or small. I want all my students to know they can achieve whatever they set their mind to and I will support them all the way.
One memory I have is of a little girl who looked up to me and one day she copied me. Outfit and all. She read to the class just as I do everyday. It’s those moments that make all the hard work worth it🥰
This is my first year teaching at my current school. I was in the hospital for an infection in January and was recovering at home for another week. When I came back to school, all of my kids were so excited to see me and told me how much they missed me. It was when I realized how much of an impact I am making in their lives. That challenges me each day to be better than I was before.
I love teaching my kids to read and blend letter sounds. It’s amazing seeing their little minds click and see them smile when they get it. Also when they express how they feel through their art.
