As a child I was labeled different, because of this I never felt accepted, or safe unless I was with my mom. As an adult and self diagnosed nurodivergent educator I love being able to provide a safe space to young children where they can figure out who they are . I particularly enjoy helping them identify the strengths that lie within their differences.

This is amazing. Thank you for thinking of teachers! Big shoutout to all my fellow educatorsā¦we understand each others journey! I love you all for what you do and showing up for those students everyday.
I love teaching because it gives me the sense that I am truly making a difference in the world and in the lives of thousands of kids. The reward at the end of each school year when you see the growth that students have made; be it socially, academically, behaviorally, or just in general is breathtaking and fascinating. The most memorable moments for me are when you truly connect with students and families and make a difference in their overall lives not just school life. Itās the feeling you get that is unexplainable. I have one of many shirts that sayā¦I do it for the ah ha momentsā¦Itās fascinating to watch their faces lightbulb when they finally get it! I love what I do!
Most welcome Hannah! Wish you the best of luck!
I teach high school math and I love seeing my students growth. A lot of my students are honors students so I get to loop with them. I love this because I really see their growth over multiple years!
My favorite thing about teaching is the kids! I love that I get to connect with so many different people each school year. I love that Iāve touched so many lives. Being a middle school teacher I am able to have 200 plus kids a year. I get to know each one and know they can rely on me.
All time favorite thing is when old students come up to hug me (I teach kindergarten) š„¹ā¤ļø
OMGš thank youuu Tinaš
I love teaching because I love seeing my students growth, I always tell them that weāre learning together and itās been a journey but itās amazing! It gets hard sometimes but then seeing their progress keeps me going! I donāt have any other words to describe my love for teaching, itās something I canāt explain. Good luck to all teachersš youāre amazing, thank you for all that you do.
You are amazing Moralesi! Thank you for being here and I wish you the best of luck!
I love working with preschoolers. They keep you on your toes everyday is something fun and different! I get to be with my students for two years and see them off to kindergarten; this is special because you get form a special bond with them as well as see them grow.
I love being a preschool teacher. I enjoy helping my students grow and reach their developmental goals to become happy, healthy individuals. They are tiny humans who have so much to offer and say. I absolutely love having conversations with my students while we teach one another and learn away. The connection we build, the bonds we hang on to, and the passion I have for it is why I love teaching. I know I help make a difference, and I feel it in my heart. That is the most rewarding feeling of being a teacher.
Honestly, I have so many special memories that it’s hard to choose. But I will mention recent ones. During nap time I give back massages, rubs, etc, as well as if they get hurt to comfort them. WelI, I get back pain from my Endometriosis symptoms and when my students notice I have a little pain, they’ll come up to me and give me massages. Some students notice I’ll touch my lower back and will massage that specific area. They pay attention, they care, they love, and I love them.
Beautiful story Elizabeth! Thank you for sharing!
Hi, My name is Matthew and I am a high school teacher and football coach in Virginia. I am currently finishing up year 5 of teaching and I continue to learn more and more each year. I love being a teacher and coach because I am able to mentor and be that ābig brotherā figure that some of these kids need! I love when students that Iāve taught/coached in the past, come back and tell me how much they loved my class and how much I helped them. Thatās what itās all about. Most days are definitely challenging mentally, but knowing that I am making a difference makes it all worth it!
I love teaching because I love seeing the growth my students make from the beginning of the year to the end of year. Some of my students didnāt know how to write or read now they are reading and writing!!!
