I love teaching because Iām making a difference in the future; I can help students have a better life, more happiness, exciting opportunities, feel better about themselves, gain a sense of belonging and accomplishment, and empower them to find their own way of sending *their* love into the future, as that song by Sting puts it so aptly.
I just recently joined education and itās been a hell of a ride. As a student, I never understood why teachers chose education until I made that decision myself. As a Spanish teacher, itās been fun seeing my students practice the language. Not only have they been learning, but so have I. Iāve learned how to be patient and compassionate, two traits I think are really important as a teacher. So thank you for this giveaway. Iām sure we all appreciate the thank yous!
I get excited everyday knowing I get to be with these amazing children everyday. Iām truly dreading the last day of school. They make me laugh constantly. But my favorite is watching them grow and change through the school year. I had one boy who wouldnāt talk. Wouldnāt interact. Just observed. We gave him the time and space and now he is raising his hand on the carpet. Heās laughing with his friends. Every child is so special. I couldnāt imagine myself having any other job. I may leave exhausted but itās worth it.
Teaching! I love being a Preschool Teacher because of all the silly things they say, the growth you can witness from being shy and scared on day one to being the loud and goofy one during circle time. I love being able to be a part of their first learning experience apart from their parents and showing them they can love school and meeting new friends. My most favorite recent memory would be one of my students giving me random hugs throughout the day and saying I love you! Just melts my heart!
I love teaching because I enjoy seeing my students grow. Over the years I have seen many students gain confidence and really thrive by the end of the year. I also love the āI get it nowā moment.
I love teaching middle school students because they are in that weird, wonderful period between being a kid and being a teenager. I think my favorite memories are just when students say something unexpectedly hilarious, and we all have a good, spontaneous laugh together.
I hope this includes preschool teachers as well. I have been teaching at the same school for 23 years I love the bonds and relationships that I have with my students. 1 of my first babies graduate from college today!
I am a special education inclusion teacher. I love teaching because I get to show kids they are loved, heard, seen and can learn!
My favorite thing about teaching is seeing that “a-ha!” moment when what I’m teaching clicks with the students.
This is very sweet of you. I love teaching at the elementary level because I can give them the foundational skills they need. Also, Iām a kid at heart myself and love having fun with my students!
