One of my best memories with my kids is growing butterflies, they were in awe of the changes and had so much questions I was so happy to see their curiosity of the world around them
Headstart Teacher here!â€ïž
I started teaching Headstart because I remember what my teacher did for me. She made an impact on my life. She made me feel like I can be anything I want to be and I want to pass that on to other children. When I see them accomplish things or have their wow moments just brings me joy.
I’m a special education teacher. I love watching my students grow. I usually work with the same group of kids for about 3 years so I truly get to watch them grow. I love that I’m able to connect with them!
My favorite teaching memory is with my 4th graders. In particular I was working with a student who just moved from out of the US and he was struggling with English writing and reading and when we figured out a method for him to learn the alphabet it brought tears to my eyes on how much you can really have an impact on a student. đ„° there are hidden blessings in every struggle
Iâm coming to the end of my 28 year teaching. Iâve taught fourth, first, and third grade. I have wanted to be a teacher since I was in the first grade myself! My first grade teacher was awesome, and I wanted to make kids feel the way she made us feel. We learned and had fun, and we knew she loved us. I hope that I have had that same impact on my students over the years.
We love our homeschool experience. We get to explore topics and subjects that interest them. And the freedom it provides in our day. For example Friday we went to the nature center and joined with 10 other homeschool families and a few park ranger to discuss the area- animals and go for a hike while learning and identifying plants. All was done before noon. I love learning along side not only my kids but those I teach in my co-op. To see their eyes light up when they lean something new or a new idea comes into their mind. That is a beautiful thing. It makes all the prep work and cereal for dinner đ worth it.
and she loves Stanley Tumblers! Aris B. of Nashville Tennessee for best teacher!
Aris B. your winning nominee.
I have been working with newcomer immigrant students for 4 years and I love it. Helping them learn English and get accustomed to school has been a challenge but very rewarding. I love when they talk to me in English and seeing how proud they are when they can actually communicate with me. These kids donât know the language so it is a challenge for them everyday.
I love teaching preschool ages getting them ready for Kindergarten. I love finding their strength and weakness and working with them to be their Best Selves. Best memory for this year is my shyest student wouldnât even talk to me for about a month. She raises her hand every time and now found her inner confidence and leads the other children. This is example why I teach.
