I am not a teacher but I will say I have been considering very much to make the switch , Iām currently in medical. Teaching has always been an option for me growing up I loved to be closer with my teachers and learn things even when we were having fun. All my teachers have made an amazing impact on my life and from what I hear from all of these amazing and sweet teachers in the comments, I would have loved to have had any of you. So cheers to the teachers , I hope you all know you win regardless š«¶š¼
I’ve been a teacher and tutor for low income students for 5 years. I love working with youth to change the odds for their future. it is an absolute privilege to give them opportunities to learn new skills like gardening and cooking.
I love to be a homeschool mom. it’s brings me closer toy kids
and we enjoy our time together.
our best times are learning together
but we also laugh and have fun.
it’s the very best.
I have been teaching for 10 years and there are a lot of hard times, but the best part is hearing from past and present students how much they love/loved you. This week I received a note from a student and the first sentence was – If I had to choose a color from the rainbow – I would choose your favorite color š„¹! We don’t realize how much impact we have on them until the end and then it’s over and a new year starts!
I taught Special Education for over 10 years before becoming a Reading Specialist. After watching students getting socially promoted and not being able to read at their grade level. I decided to be part of the change instead of complaining about it. I tutor kids in the neighborhood who need extra help as well. When they finally read a sentence on their own the smile they have make me feel like I actually did something
Iām currently doing reading intervention with 3rd grade. It is such a rewarding job. I look forward to work every single day because itās worth it to see those lightbulbs go off.

I just loved to being a teacherā¤ļøwhen i was around 7 year my mom used to be a teacher i loved to see her she has so much patience & calmness with kids that thing i love & settled in my mind that i want teach good things to my kids & all my students tooā¤ļø
Nothing in the world is as amazing as watching a child learn and grow, whether it be academically or in their social-emotional abilities. What a blessing it is to see my students grow up to be a wonderful person. When I was inducted into our stateās speech and drama league, a former student spoke for me. He told a story about my chastising him when he had behaved rudely, and arrogantly. I had long forgotten that incident as he had become enormously successful on a national level in speech. He reminded me, expressing his deep gratitude that I cared for him as a person, desiring his well-being. By the time he graduated high school he had become a much more gracious human being. Thatās what I love about teaching, the positive lifelong impact I can have on my students !
I recently opened up a in home daycare. It is licensed so Iām not sure if that counts as being a teacher. I can provide my license number. This career is so rewarding to me. I love seeing in a childās eyes and smile when they learn something new. Children are so intelligent and extremely resilient. I teach 1-5 year olds and the main philosophy I try to teach is kindness. Another main point we try to work on is communication. Toddlers have such a hard time explaining things and communicating with us. After having most kids for about 3 months they change and grow so much with me and itās incredible to get to witness it. One of the children started copying the phrases I use and I absolutely adored it. I sometimes encourage them with saying things like āthere you go buddyā¦.you can do itā¦. You are so brave. ā and he started say them to his friends! It was so heart warming to see!
Former daycare teacher here and now 3rd grade teacher. You are so a teacher! Donāt ever let anyone tell you otherwise. Thank you for investing in Littles at this age. Littles receive many foundational gems at this age. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
This is awesome !!! because we have a granddaughter and daughter that are pre-K teachersā¦ and teachers deserve all the treats they can get for free.
