Im nominating my husband. He noticed one of his special needs students was coming in with the same clothes and shoes. So my husband bought him clothes and shoes. My heart! He’s a wonderful teacher!!
I love teaching because I get something out of everyday! I am currently the librarian and tech teacher and it’s been a true blessing to find my dream job in the school system!
I love seeing when they have their aha moments when they finally understand what I am teaching them.
Left the financial industry 20 years ago to join the ranks of education because I saw such a need for people who wanted to do this work. Little did I know, I discovered my purpose in life.
I love teaching First Grade ESL because my students come from all over the world- Angola, Congo, Afghanistan, Enritrea, Lebanon, Dominican Republic, Portugal and many others. I love learning about their culture and incorporating their experiences into my lesson. I love seeing their expressions when they realize that they have had a “lightbulb” moment when all of the English they have been learning begins to finally make sense.
I love celebrating the accomplishments, both big and small, but also knowing some of the accomplishments can’t be seen right now. Someday that student may be in a totally different place, when they suddenly realize the gain they made years ago in middle school.
I love home schooling because it allows my daughter and I to bond so much more even though at times it’s very stressful I love her environment and I know she does too. Before homeschooling I would teach at local faith based schools. A passion for teaching young children and adults. Originally I wanted to be a math professor at a university but that all changed when I had children. They are way fun. 💖.
I love seeing the “light” go on when they “get it”! And they get so excited!
I love when my students get that a-ha moment. I also love running into former students after they graduate.
I am a student teacher and will start my teaching career in August. I am a special education teacher for a K-4 classroom. I love serving students who have unique needs and being a warm, welcoming face for them each day!
