Fantatsic!!
I teach students with learning disabilities and love helping them learn ways to support their learning! I have been teaching for 11 years!!
I teach 8th grade resource math and one of my favorite memories is from last year. In the beginning of the year, I caught one of my students looking up snails related products, so I teased her about it. Then I found out she is OBSESSED about snails and we talked about how sad that Arizona doesn’t have snails in the desert. Over the school year we have different times we chat about snails and laughed about it We connected through her over bluntness and potential signs of Autism. On the last day of school, she brought me the same exact snail hand sanitizer dispenser that I caught her looking at! She almost made me cry by telling me that I was like a father who she never had to her.
It’s my second year teaching. It’s not always the easiest but it is very rewarding when you j ow You’ve made an impact to them education wise and and a student to grow and push to be a better student
I am a special Education teacher. I chose this field because these sweet babies are often forgotten and pushed to the side – especially in an education system that is geared toward test scores. I also struggle with infertility, so my students are my babies. My students have helped me through hard times with my infertility journey, and they are the reason I love my job. Their smile becomes the only reward that I work for during the day.
I teach 5th grade bilingual special education. I love building relationships with my students and their families and seeing those lightbulb moments. Being part of it is truly special. My greatest recent memory was the surprise baby shower the students threw for me. It was completely planned and executed by them. I had no idea and was truly surprised. It was so special!
I love being a teaching and working with my students because as I’m realizing I am one of the most important people in my students lives. Working with low income students, my students sometimes don’t have much but don’t let that stop them from coming to school and learning. I learn so much from my students on life in general and how not to take anything in life for granted and how valuable of an impact it is to have an educator who cares beyond the classroom.
I teach 5th grade bilingual special education and I love my students. My most recent wonderful memory was the surprise baby shower the class threw for me in December. It was so sweet, all their idea and executed by them. They kept it a secret and I was so surprised! Truly a wonderful memory ❤️
I love my daughters teacher so much. my daughter was removed from her biological mom in February and now lives with her father and I. the transition was very difficult for her and was confusing. she would act out in class and was being a bully to other kids. the teacher would notify us and we would have a conversation with her about why you can do stuff like that and punish accordingly. but even going through all that her teacher remained patient and caring and helped us work with her to make friends and work through this transition. with her teachers help she is advanced in math and other classes. she has many friends. she no longer acts out and is just so happy to be in school. I want to show her teacher how much we appreciate her for being there and working with her and for not giving up on her.
I worked in spl Ed for 12 years and started homeschooling my 5 kids. Before having my kids I never thought I would be homeschooling and enjoyed everything about being around others kids. I worked with ages pre-k to college students. I’ve learned so much that now teaching my own kids comes very easy to me. As rewarding as it felt to teach others kids, teaching my own felt even more rewarding. I get to explore so much more without leaving my home and when we do we can at any time. I Can teach with basic living skills. The most rewarding is that my 2 year old son is nearly reading words. I guess it’s the fact of giving back or passing it forward knowledge to another life.
