If you have unused electronics, video games, or even car seats at home, you might be able to exchange them for gift cards, coupons, and other rewards. Major retailers such as Target, Amazon, and Walmart offer trade-in programs where you can turn your old items into valuable rewards – here’s everything you need to know!
Retailers That Offer Trade-Ins
Amazon
Through the Amazon Trade-In program, you can receive an Amazon gift card and a 20% off a new device when you trade in your old electronics and devices. This includes Kindle e-readers, tablets, streaming media players, Bluetooth speakers and headphones, home security devices, wireless routers, cellphones, and gaming systems. While devices in good condition earn the highest rewards, you may still be eligible for a gift card even if your device is not working.
American Eagle (Aerie)
At American Eagle, bring any old pair of jeans into a store and get $10 toward a new pair. It’s just for Real Rewards members, so make sure to sign up for free!
Apple
The Apple Trade-In program allows you to trade in an eligible device for credit toward your next purchase or receive an Apple gift card. This program covers a range of devices, including iPhones, iPads, Macs, Apple Watches, Android devices, and more. Depending on your deviceās age and condition, you could receive a significant amount in return – up to $650!
Best Buy
Best Buy’s Trade-In program accepts many devices, such as cellphones, tablets, e-readers, smartwatches, cameras, video games, and TVs. Enter your item’s details online to get an instant trade-in offer. You can then bring your item to a Best Buy store or mail it in to receive an e-gift card for its value.
Costco
The process is simple with Costco’s Trade-In Program. Select your device model, answer a few questions and you get a quote on its trade value. Print your shipping label or receive a box with prepaid shipping supplies and packing instructions. When your device is received at their inspection facility, it will be inspected, data-wiped, and your trade will be ready to pay out. You will receive your choice of Costco Shop Card or a Digital Costco Shop Card loaded with the trade-in value.
GameStop
GameStop offers cash or credit for accepted trade-ins. They accept smartphones, tablets, wearables, headphones, consoles, video games, and controllers. Search for your item online to see an offer. Afterwards take it to your local GameStop for cash or in-store credit. PowerUp Rewards Pro Members receive 10% extra value on most items.
