If you have been residing in select U.S. states between January 1st 2012, and July 31st 2019, and purchased fresh or frozen raw chicken defined as whole birds (with or without giblets), whole cut-up birds purchased within a package, breasts and wings (or cuts containing a combination of these) from Fieldale, George’s, Mar-Jac, Peco, Pilgrims and Tyson, you may be eligible to claim a cash settlement in the broiler chicken class action $203.35 million settlement.
The lawsuit alleges that these chicken processors conspired to restrict the supply of, and fix, raise, and stabilize the price of chicken. No proof of purchase is necessary, but you will need to fill out a questionnaire and submit your claim through July 31st.
The states that can participate are California, District of Columbia, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, or Wisconsin. Note that chicken marketed as free-range, halal, kosher, or organic, diced, minced, ground, seasoned, flavored, or breaded are excluded. Claim yours here!
