Chick-Fil-A agreed to a class action settlement to resolve claims of falsely advertising free delivery or low cost delivery through its mobile app during the recent pandemic. According to the suit, Chick-Fil-A was secretly inflating menu prices on delivery orders only by as much as 30% compared to their in-store prices. While the fast food chain didn’t admit fault they will be paying out a total of $4.4 million to settle the lawsuit and have agreed to disclose menu price differences for delivery orders going forward.
Eligible class members are expected to receive their settlement via a $29.25 cash payment or a $29.25 gift card. You qualify if you’ve ever ordered Chick-fil-A for delivery in California, Florida, Georgia, New Jersey, or New York between November 1, 2019, and April 30, 2021.
Please note that to submit a claim, you will need to have received an Electronic Mail Notice with a Unique ID. If you believe you are part of this class action settlement, but didn’t receive your notice via mail, you can print out and send in a paper claim form here or contact the Class Action Settlement Administrator to obtain your Unique ID through today, February 15th. Don’t miss out on this opportunity and see more Class Action Settlements here!
this is completely terrible, but literally every fast food chain does this.
Just print the class action claim form and submit by mail. Thank you.
Most welcome Annie!
How come you can only submit a claim if they sent you an email? How would they keep track of all the people who were overcharged?
Hi Britnee! If you believe you’re affected by this class action settlement but did not receive an email from them, you can fill out this claim form and submit it to get your Unique ID as well.
McDonald’s needs to be added too! I paid close to $90 on several occasions for food delivery through their app during the pandemic.
