You can score lots of great March food freebies including Free Cone Day at Dairy Queen! This is an event that ice cream enthusiasts look forward to all year long! In the past years, it was always held on the first day of spring – which means this year it will be happening today, March 20th!
Dairy Queen Free Cone Day 2025
On Free Cone Day, Dairy Queen gives away free small vanilla soft-serve cones during their business hours (usually from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.), with no purchase necessary. Just keep in mind that this sweet deal has a limit of one cone per person at participating locations, which may vary. So make sure to call your local Dairy Queen before heading out.

Just got mine. It’s a regular sized cone, choice of chocolate, vanilla or combination and they even dipped it in that yummy chocolate. They did ask if we wanted to donate $1 to the Children’s Miracle Network, which we did, but otherwise it’s totally free. It was yummy!
