Here’s a brilliant technique to get women’s shoes for much less, as well as a shopping tip for converting kids’ shoe sizes to women’s shoe sizes. Try this tip to save money and achieve the look you want. There are various brands that make the same shoe for both children and adults.
These kids-to-women shoe size adjustments are simpler than they appear. I can tell you right now, that a women’s 8 in kids’ is a size 6.5, and a women’s 7.5 in kids is a size 5. You’ll be able to do this simple math in your head as well, and I’m here to show you how!
For example, these Cat & Jack Kids’ Nikko Slip-On Slide Sandals from Target, come in sizes from 1 to 6, and women can get these shoes in sizes from 4 to 7.5!

If you’re unsure of your women’s shoe size, Hibbet.com recommends using the following simple method to measure your own feet.
I’ve just been subtracting a size and a half my whole life lol Nike & Finish Line go up to size 7 in youth and I just make the cut with my women’s size 8.5 shoe 🙂
lol I have been doing this my whole life! Funny that people don’t know about this!
This is so helpful! I will have to try this out!
Lol I’m always telling people that trick especially on the Nike website because they go up so high on the kids sizes and super cheap too!
are you people embarrass if someone ask you : are you wearing a kid shoe ?
I was so embarrassed
I’ve had that happen my whole life! But I’m actually quite happy because of it lol It means I get to shop at both kids and adults’ departments AND I usually get great prices cause kids’ shoes are cheaper, plus a lot of the times only the smallest sizes are left for adult shoes and they go on clearance. Best of both worlds!
I was literally just looking for this conversion! You rock !!
Perfect timing!! 🙌
I’m new and this is the best thing I have seen or heard in a good while. My shoe size is a 5.5 in women’s and no one ever carries that size. Thank you so much, now I know to check the girls section
You’re very welcome!
This is the smartest this I’ve ever heard of in my life omg my sasquatch size 10s!! BRB taking a gander RN
Same here but I was able to find a ton of Uggs in the kids sizes for super cheap
hey girl, I share the same issues. My sentiments exactly Bigfoot size 10’s… lol 😂😂 I always go to the store and you go for sale for shoes that you want or like and when you get there, your size is gone or they don’t carry your size. hard to find 10 on clearance too you see clearance item n click on it. It’s usually the largest goes first I don’t get it. Lol .😂 have a blessed day💕💕🥰🥰
I do this all the time when I need to buy sneakers.
Yup especially sneakers! The sneaker stores are mainly the only stores that really do kids sizes like this tho!! So unless you’re only looking for a sporty athletic look , you can’t really find other stores that size like this!! After 3 they usually go to women’s in every other store really! I’ve been doing this since I worked at finish line when I was 16 so 30 something years!! Famous footwear does do this too also! They have some shoes not much but they do! 😉
Thank you so much! I’ve been wondering about this but then I forgot to look it up 🤦♀️
You’re welcome Shannon!
