Even though most of us know Christmas isn’t about presents, I think many of us like to give gifts as well! It is amazing to see how much Samaritan’s Purse helps so many people – the US and worldwide! By supporting Operation Christmas Child, you can provide kids who are in need with surprises they could not otherwise receive. There is no better time to begin collecting small gifts for children in need – grab toys, school supplies, clothing, and more!
It’s Easy to Participate:
The story starts with a shoebox! Simply find an average-size cardboard or plastic shoebox – if you want you can wrap it, or you can order already prepared colorful boxes. Then just start collecting small gifts of your choice but be sure not to include anything scary or war-related, as well as candies, drinks, lotions, medication, and used or damaged toys… Also, be sure to include some personal notes or photos – a child’s favorite thing to receive is sometimes one of these things!
After you fill out your gift box, just drop it off or opt to mail it at any participating church or participating location during National Collection Week which will take place starting November 18th through the 25th!
