Curious to know what’s so special about the popular Stanley Quencher Tumblers but don’t want to spend $40 to find out? đ That’s why I got the Ozark Trail Tumbler from Walmart to compare to Stanley!
First, both the Stanley tumbler and Ozark Trail tumbler hold 40 ounces of liquid which is enough to keep you hydrated all day and have sturdy handles to carry them around so you can easily carry your ice-cold water.
They are exactly the same size at the bottom and fit any car cup holder. They both have a built-in straw, however, Ozark Trail has a removable 1/3 silicone straw extended, which seals against the straw hole. Not only does it seal and provide extra reach but it’s also flexible which means you don’t have to tilt the tumbler in order to drink. In case you are looking for straw-cleaning brushes, check out this 10-pack for $3.99 from Amazon.Â
Next, both tumblers have screw-on lids and you can rotate the black part on the lid to three positions: a straw opening designed to resist splashes with a seal that holds the reusable straw in place, a drink opening, and a full-cover top for added leak resistance.
Is Ozark Trail or Stanley Tumblers Spill Proof?
Most important – is the popular Stanley Quencher Tumbler spill proof? Nope! Neither is Ozark Trail, so I’d be careful tossing them into your bag. Even though both claim to be leak-proof tumblers, I held both upside down and they both leaked a lot! More than I expected. Because of the handle, for example, you won’t be able to put them into the side pockets of a backpack either.
Similar Qualities of Both Tumblers:
Both hold 40 oz of liquid
Similar shape and lid style
Car cup holder compatible
Both have screw-on lids
Reusable Straw
Stainless Steel, BPA Free
Dishwasher Safe
Do they hold ice for the same amount of time?
Of course, the real test for a good tumbler is how long each can keep ice frozen. I filled both Stanley and Ozark Trail tumblers with ice and water, and the ice was gone from both after just 12 hours. The temperature of both was the same. Therefore, I don’t see a winner here. Looks like you are not missing anything if you get the Ozark Trail! Having said that here’s what each manufacturer claims their tumbler keeps hot and cold:
Stanley Quencher Tumbler
- 7 Hours Hot
- 11 Hours Cold
Ozark Trail Tumbler
- 6 Hours Hot
- 25 Hours Cold
In conclusion, Ozark Trail Tumbler is the best bang for your buck and comes in 5 pretty colors. So if you see it in stock, make sure to grab one, or more – they make great gifts! Check your local store down below!

Hi! I see that only one changed in the post. I’ll update it. Do you see other prices for most or some items?
I have a few of these they are better than my yeti cups. I used the bottle just the other day and still had ice 36 hours later
