Target has announced plans to recruit approximately 100,000 seasonal workers for its stores and supply chain operations, with starting wages ranging from $15 to $24 per hour. This hiring trend has remained consistent over the past few years.
To handle the expected holiday rush, current employees will have the chance to work additional hours. Target noted that around 45,000 of its 400,000 employees are part of the On Demand program, which lets them choose extra shifts that fit their needs and schedules. These requests will be given priority over hiring new staff.
Target Circle Week coming October 6th!
Additionally, Target revealed that Target Circle Week will be back from October 6 to October 12. The retailer also plans to offer a holiday selection that is 50% larger than last year, featuring “thousands of items” priced at $5 and $10.
