    The USPS Operation Santa Program

What better way to start the Holidays than making some kids happy by giving them their favorite presents! USPS is once again hosting its Operation Santa Program and is now accepting letters from kids! You have this amazing opportunity to help others and spread some holiday joy to those who need it the most.

How and what is exactly Operation Santa? So, every year there are a bunch of letters from hopeful kids to Santa Claus with their wishes and hopes sent to USPS, and instead of throwing those letters away, they decided to respond by beginning Operation Santa, as it’s known in these later days. When USPS receives letters from all over the country, they put those letters for “adoption”. Pre-registration is now open and starting today, November 18th you can start “adopting” letters. After that, you can purchase the items on a child’s wish list and with help from the USPS, deliver them to the families. Note that you’re allowed to adopt up to 15 letters.

    How to Adopt a Letter:

    The USPS Operation Santa Mail

    • Starting November 18th, visit the USPS Operation Santa website and click “letter adoption.”
    • Select “register & verify ID”
    • Create an account and verify your ID and password. (If unable to get approved online then, visit one of the 19,000 participating Post Office locations with a Label Broker service)
    • After you’re approved, you’ll receive an email with detailed information on how to join in!
    • That’s it!

Note that businesses are also allowed to participate with each employee needing to also go through the verification process.
