Verizon has agreed to pay $100 million to settle a class-action lawsuit that alleged the company charged undisclosed administration fees to its customers in a “deceptive and unfair manner.”

Do You Qualify for the Verizon Settlement?
To be eligible for the settlement, you must be a Verizon customer with wireless or data service between Jan. 1, 2016, to Nov. 8, 2023. If you think you are eligible, check your inbox or mailbox for either an email or a mailed letter from Verizon. This letter will include instructions on how to apply for a payout. It should contain a Notice ID and Confirmation code which you can use to submit a claim on Verizon’s website before April 15th, 2024.
How to Get Your Settlement
Eligible customers must file a claim online by April 15, 2024, to receive the payment. Each customer can expect a minimum of $15, but payments could be as high as $100 per person depending on how long you were a Verizon subscriber as well as how many eligible customers file claims. You’ll also be asked if payment will be delivered by check or electronic payment.

Opt-Out from the Settlement
Customers can also sue Verizon as opposed to taking the settlement. Those who do must send a written letter to the below address before Feb. 20, 2024.

Your letter must include the following information:
1. Your full name, telephone number, mailing address, and email address;
2. A clear statement that you wish to be excluded from the Settlement Class;
3. The name of this lawsuit: “Esposito et al. v. Cellco Partnership d/b/a Verizon Wireless
3. Your original signature.

To object or comment, you must send a signed, written objection/comment before February 26th, 2024 to the following address.
