Green Walmart Neighborhood Market Store Front

Right now, there’s an ongoing $45 million Walmart Weighted Groceries Class Action Settlement. You might be eligible to benefit from it.

If you bought weighted goods like beef, chicken, ham, pork, turkey, veal, and seafood, or bagged citrus (like oranges, grapefruit, and tangerines) at Walmart in the U.S or Puerto Rico between October 19, 2018, and January 19, 2024, you could qualify.

📌 Our reader Janna shared a tip: Just FYI it’s only if you bought in person. If you use Walmart+ delivery you are not eligible.

    • With proof of purchase, you can receive up to $500.
    • No proof? No worries. You can still get $10 to $25 based on the number of weighted goods or bagged citrus you claim to have bought during the settlement period. If you claim over 101 items, you can get up to $25.

The claim deadline is today, June 5th, 2024. You can file your claim online here or by mail to Walmart Weighted Groceries Settlement, c/o Claims Administrator 1650 Arch Street, Suite 2210 Philadelphia, PA19103.

Does the ink not vanish off your receipts? Every time I’ve needed a receipt months later such as for a warranty I paid for, I find the receipt to be blank.

I actually have thousands of dollars in receipts from the past years for this. The claim website purposefully makes it to where you have to submit each picture one at a time and it’s time consuming to add each one individually. they made sure to not let us upload multiple photos at a time. I started doing it, but it was taking hours out of my day and I eventually gave up and submitted without proof of purchase. ultimately, they win.

I’m so sorry to hear that 😞 Maybe you can contact the Settlement Administrator at 1-833-987-9998 to ask if there’s a way they can add an option to upload multiple photos so it’s easier. I’m sure they’d appreciate the suggestion.

Hi Falkor! Same thing happened to me. If you have an iPhone, select (25-30 items at a time) the pictures/screenshots you’re trying to upload, hit the share icon, select print and while prepping all of the documents selected for printing, hit the share icon again and save them together to files (it will automatically convert it to PDF and you’ll have all of the photos in just one file). You’ll probably have to save 25-30 screenshots/receipts at a time because you can’t upload files bigger than 9 megabytes. I had to create about 4 files but it worked and it saved me A LOT OF TIME! I hope this helps!

Is Sam’s club included in this? Or is it specifically just Walmart?
